In 1994, Peter designed his first persuasive website: a collection of links to other websites. Not just any websites, but beer-related websites. As chairman of a beer-fraternity, he had a vested interest in their well-being. You see: it may sound crazy at first, but most of what Peter says actually makes sense in the end.

Peter has 14 years of experience designing interactive systems in a user-centered manner. He helped organize UX events, ranging from local (Amsterdam UX Cocktail Hours, since 2001), via national (The Web and Beyond) and European (Euro IA), to international (CHI and IA Summits). He was invited speaker at several conferences (from the Dutch Adobe User Group to the German and Italian IA conferences) and presented at others on topics ranging from wabi-sabi, design patterns, processes and deliverables, and most recently exploding websites. Peter has acted as workshop facilitator, training instructor, panel moderator and master of ceremonies at design contests.

He has designed for Vodafone, Nokia and the Global Mobile Supliers Association. Currenlty, Peter is the senior interaction designer in the Strategy & Design team of Info.nl, which last year was acknowledged by Emerce as the no.1 Dutch full-service internet agency when it comes to know-how.

In other words: Peter is an excellent person to have as a team captain. And he is still a beer lover…
